RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

September 2023 - now

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON

I am working with Dr. Branko Bijeljic and Prof. Martin Blunt in the Pore-Scale Modelling and Imaging Group. My position comes from the collaboration with TOTAL Energies, in which I conducted experiments with reservoir core samples to investigate the multiphase flow in porous media under pore-scale observation with X-ray microtomography.

May 2022 - September 2023

SPECIAL RESEARCHER IN TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

As a concurrent position, I am also a Special Researcher in Tokyo Institute of Technology in Suekane Laboatory. I am initiating the study of porous media characterization and design by using 3D printer and X-ray microtomography for transport phenomena control.

JAPAN SOCIETY FOR THE PROMOTION OF SCIENCE (JSPS) POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW FOR FOREIGN RESEARCHER IN TOKYO UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY

I successfully obtained a fellowship through "JSPS International Fellowship for Research in Japan" with Prof. Nagatsu in Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology as the supervisor. Through this fellowship, I am expanding my field to chemo-hydrodynamics.

October 2020 - March 2022

JAPAN SOCIETY FOR THE PROMOTION OF SCIENCE (JSPS) POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW IN TOKYOTECH

I successfully obtained DC2 fellowship from JSPS during my Doctoral Degree. After graduation, I can use the funding for a postdoctoral fellowship in Suekane Laboratory. With this opportunity, I deepened my research about fluids in porous media and also expand my research in machine learning for porous media characterization.

VISITING RESEARCHER IN RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR THE EARTH (RITE)

Under the supervision of Dr. Ziqiu Xue and Dr. Yi Zhang, I conducted a numerical simulation of supercritical CO2 microbubble injection into sandstone. This results was then compared with an experimental observation by using medical CT.

June - October 2012 and July - November 2013

VISITING RESEARCHER IN HELMHOLTZ-ZENTRUM DRESDEN-ROSSENDORF (HZDR)

This opportunity came from the collaboration between UGM and HZDR. I conducted both of my Bachelor and Master Degree research in HZDR under the supervision of Prof. Deendarlianto and Dr. Dirk Lucas. I developed a novel algorithm for the measurement of individual gas bubble velocity observed from ultra fast tomography.
